To Whom It May Concern,
I am writing to strongly recommend that Art Zygielbaum be considered for another term as the ARRL Midwest Division Director. My name is Bret Kuhns WOVK, and I currently serve as the President of the Sedalia-Pettis Amateur Radio Klub in Sedalia, Missouri.
During my tenure, I have observed Art being an outstanding representative for the amateur radio community, particularly in Central Missouri, where I have had the opportunity to observe his leadership and dedication firsthand. He has consistently demonstrated a deep commitment to advancing the interests of amateur radio operators, fostering communication, and supporting local clubs like ours.
Art's accessibility, responsiveness, and willingness to listen to the concerns of club members have made a significant positive impact on our organization. I have witnessed firsthand him actively participating in regional events, providing valuable guidance, and advocating for policies that benefit both new and experienced operators.
Given his proven track record and unwavering support for the amateur radio community, I believe Art Zygielbaum is exceptionally well-qualified to continue serving as the ARRL Midwest Division Director. Testimonial for Art Zygielbaum, K0AIZ
ARRL Director, Midwest Division,
Director Zygielbaum and I have worked together as members of the ARRL Board of Directors for the past 6 years. During that time period, Art provided outstanding counsel and guidance to me as a new member of the Board. Art has worked tirelessly as a member of both the ARRL Board of Directors and a member of the Board of Directors of The ARRL Foundation to advance the enhancement, development and sustainment of the Amateur Radio Service. Prior to Art joining the ARRL Board of Directors, he served as the ARRL Nebraska Section Manager.
As a member of the ARRL Board of Directors, Art demonstrates a high level of professional excellence and leadership, helping to blend the views of Board members into a cohesive and workable path forward on a variety of ARRL initiatives. Art has led the successful development of Board motions which have created a formalized approach for the Board to address ethical issues brought forward.
Art’s service to the ARRL Foundation as a member of the Foundation’s Board of Directors contributed to the evaluation of the numerous scholarship applications and awards; along with the management of the funds entrusted to the Foundation.
Director Zygielbaum has initiated several different Midwest Division forums which enhanced his ability to “hear the voice of the Midwest Division ARRL Member.” Virtual periodic Town Hall Meetings via Zoom for all ARRL Midwest Division members, along with monthly virtual meetings with the Midwest Division Cabinet (comprised of the Director, Vice Director and Section Managers) as well as meetings including ARRL Midwest Division Assistant Directors, have brought various points of view and issues requiring action directly to the attention of Director Zygielbaum, as well as that of guest ARRL Executive and Senior Staff who have participated in the Town Hall and Cabinet meetings. Of course, Art has been a frequent fixture and hamfests throughout the Division.
Art has more than earned my support for his nomination as the ARRL Director of the Midwest Division and I ask that you vote for Director Zygielbaum, K0AIZ, in the upcoming Midwest Division Election.
73,
Dave Propper, K2DP
ARRL Midwest Division Vice Director

Arthur Zygielbaum, KØAIZ. A long time supporter of the Lincoln Amateur Radio Club, Inc. of Lincoln, NE. Art committed 4 years, two terms to the Board of Directors between 2008 & 2011. Presiding in 2009. Art helped to shape and mold LARC into a well sought out and utilized volunteer organization of 280 volunteers that continue to produce thousands of combined hours of public and community service, each year within Lancaster County Nebraska.
Meeting Art in 1999 while working together at Nebraska Educational Television, I found Art to be very fair, honest and open to any suggestions no matter the subject or project. Always willing to take a call and have an open door, I've found Art to be one of the most approachable figures of leadership that I've met since my introduction into amateur radio in 1991. As the current President of LARC, I look forward to Art's visits to club meetings and event's in hopes that, some of the new members will meet and learn from Art as I have.

Refer: K0AIZ – Art Zygielbaum September 25,2026,
Over the past years, I have had the privilege and honor to work with our ARRL Midwest Division Director, K0AIZ – Art Zygielbaum. I am pleased to offer this personal endorsement of my dear friend and colleague Art Zygielbaum, K0AIZ.
I have known Art since I joined the ARRL Board of Directors more than 8 years ago. Art initially warmly welcomed me to my new position as Pacific Division Vice Director, telling me fun stories about his time at JPL. As an engineer I really enjoyed that. It wasn’t until later, though, when we both were Directors, that we began to work together and became real partners on committees and in helping to guide the ARRL Board. Art’s experience with other non-profit boards and insight into governance issues became a guiding light as we worked together on a number of initiatives to ensure the integrity and longevity of ARRL.
I personally care deeply about the future of ARRL, and I know that Art does too. He has been an exceptional partner and leader in everything that he has accomplished as your Director. It is my sincere hope that all of you see this too and reelect Art Zygielbaum as your Midwest Division Director.
